Welcome to our first blog post. I am so glad you are here and I hope you enjoy our humble and simple decor styling ideas.
If you know me from Instagram, you know how much I love decorating with blue! My living room is mostly on a blue palette, with blue art in the wall and blue curtains. When it came time to style it for Fall I was in a bind. I wanted to stay with the blue palette and still enjoy beautiful Fall decor.
Enter the Traveling Blue Pumpkins. I found these rich blue velvet pumpkins at my local grocery store floral section of all places. Right away I knew they needed to come home with me. The sisterhood of the traveling blue pumpkins meme started on Instagram where I posted a couple of places the blue pumpkins have been in our home.
Here is the full tour of the traveling blue pumpkins this Fall. Please scroll to the end to see list of similar products to recreate the look of these rooms.
Starting with our living room where the pumpkins most lived. They moved around the room as you can see on the pictures below. We played with some faux flowers on the ginger jar.
Here you can see the ginger jar without flowers and a little white garland from Target I use to add a bit of whimsy to my vignettes.
They also made it to this side of the room on the shelves in the background and on our wingback chair along with our blue coral pillow.
Next stop was our dining room for a fun Fall table setting:
Moving upstairs the blue pumpkins stopped by our guest room. The wall art is fabric framed using an inexpensive frame. Both are from Michael’s.
A closeup of the small bedside table:
And finally some tray styling with our favorite pumpkins in our bedroom:
